Book Review: Anxious People

Can you guess what book this is based on the author and the book cover? If you guessed Anxious People by Fredrik Backman, you’re correct!

Let’s set the scene: there’s a would-be bank robber who ends up in a hostage situation, there’s a bridge that people have jumped from and people have tried to jump from and gotten saved, there’s therapy and police interviews and through it all you’re left wondering: who the hell are these people and how are their stories intertwined?

I absolutely loved this Fredrik Backman book! I fell in love with the writing style when I read My Grandmother Asked Me To Tell You She’s Sorry, and this book did not disappoint. I had seen Anxious People all over Bookstagram before my hiatus, and though I could only pick it up every so often between school and my internship, I was finally able to finish it on my most recent vacation and I just cannot recommend it enough! Quirky, fun, and incredibly deep, this book will have you laughing and crying the whole way through
